We’ve had a tonne of messages in the last 2 weeks about our seasonal Pumpkin Ale. So, here we have it – back by popular demand – Samhain our Pumpkin Ale!
Samhain (pronounced s-ow-en) is the traditional Irish celebration of the harvest, in this instance the harvest of a relatively new phenomena to these parts – pumpkin! The history of pumpkin ales goes all the way back to the early colonial Americas. Even the great George Washington made pumpkin ale. The modern versions of these ales are more akin to liquid Pumpkin Pie – a classic American dessert served during Thanksgiving – than the ales of the early American settlers.
Reminiscent of a sweet, liquid pumpkin pie, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and biscuit base. A burnt orange appearance, and a spicy aroma, this is a beer for the senses. If you want to find out where you can get your hands on our 2021 release of Samhain then keep reading.
