Hagstravaganza 2018 FAQ

Where is the festival?

The White Hag Brewing Company is located in the Ballymote Business Park, Ballymote.  The Park is located just behind the Ballymote Train Station, just off the R296 road to Bunninadden from Ballymote.  More details on how to get to Ballymote are available on the Travel Information document.


How much are the tickets?

Basic Ticket: €20 + booking Fee

General Admission with Tokens: €27.50 + booking Fee


Where can I buy my tickets? – they will not be available on the door


What do I get for the price of my tickets?

Our General Admission ticket entitles you to admission, 5x Drinks Tokens, a festival beer guide and a free festival glass, plus free train to Sligo on the night of the festival.


What happens when my 5 tokens are gone?

You can buy more at the token desk for €2 each.


Will there be any non-alcoholic beverages to purchase?

Yes, there will be vendors on site selling great local food, and some non-alcoholic beverages.


Will the tasting cups be plastic or glass?

Glass – one per attendee. Keep it safe as only one per attendee. We have a policy of no single use plastics at our event.


Is the event child friendly?

Unfortunately not, as it’s a primarily alcohol focused event, it’s strictly over 18’s


Can I bring my pet?

Apologies we do not have insurance cover for pets (except service dogs).


I want to go as a designated driver. Do I need to purchase a ticket?

We can cater for free tickets to designated drivers. Email for more details.

Will there be food available for purchase?

There will be a great selection of food available from a selection of vendors. All food must be purchased using tokens available from the token booth. No cash transactions allowed.


What time does the festival open/close?

The festival opens at 2pm and closes at 10pm.


Is there an ATM located on site?

The festival is primarily cashless, using PIN and tap & go card/phone payments. There is no ATM on site. The closest ATM is the Bank Of Ireland on Lord Edward Street and the Ulster Bank on O’Connell Street, less than a 10 minute walk from the brewery.


Is there parking on site and can I leave my car overnight if needed?

There will be strictly no parking available on site to leave your car overnight. There will be no security provided overnight for cars parked nearby.


How will I get into/back to Sligo that night?

There is a free train sponsored by Irish rail – you must have a wristband to get on.


Who will take care of my lost property?

There will be volunteers on the day to take care of lost property. After the event you can contact us at and enquire about lost and found.

I want to come and sell my food or goods – what do I do?

We’re no longer taking applications to run concessions this year, but do let us know if you are interested for next year
