The Founding Team
The White Hag was built on passion, creativity, and a shared belief in doing things differently. Founded by Bob, Paul, and Brian, the brewery was brought to life by a team with the vision, skill, and drive to create something truly special in Sligo.
Together, they lead a diverse and dedicated crew, combining expertise across brewing, innovation, and operations to deliver world-class craft beer. United by a love of great beer and a commitment to quality, the team continues to push boundaries while staying true to our mission - to brew incredible, innovative beers that stand out at home and around the world.

The Wider Team
The White Hag is powered by a growing team of passionate people who live and breathe great beer. From the brewhouse to the bar, from sales to storytelling, our crew brings together a mix of skills, creativity, and energy that keeps the brand moving forward.
We’re a team built on collaboration and curiosity, always pushing for what’s next while staying grounded in quality and craft. Beyond the brewery, you’ll find us out in the world - pouring pints, meeting customers, working with trade partners, and representing The White Hag at festivals and events across Ireland and beyond.
Wherever we go, it’s the same mission: to share our beer, our story, and our passion - and to deliver the best independent beer experience we possibly can.
Internships & Work Experience
At The White Hag, we believe the future of craft beer is built through hands-on experience, curiosity, and learning by doing. Brewing is a skilled trade, and we’re passionate about helping the next generation develop the knowledge and confidence to thrive in it.
We run an ongoing placement programme across brewing, sales, and marketing, offering a real behind-the-scenes look at life inside a working brewery. From the brewhouse floor to brand-building, our placements are designed to give practical, meaningful experience in a fast-moving, creative environment.
Many of our own team have come through similar pathways, shaped by mentorship, collaboration, and a genuine love of the craft.
If you’re passionate about beer and want to be part of the journey, we’d love to hear from you. Send us your CV along with a short note about your skills, interests, and why you’d like to join us in Ballymote.
