The White Sow – Mother of the Black Boar
Mar 06, 2025
Long before warriors carved their names into legend, before kings fought for thrones, The White Sow roamed the land - a creature of power, mystery, and transformation. She was more than just a beast; she was a symbol of fertility and rebirth, the mother of the fearsome Black Boar. Her presence was both a blessing and a warning, a reminder that life and death are forever entwined in the cycle of nature.
A Beast of Beauty and Chaos
The White Sow was said to be magnificent - a creature of dazzling brilliance, yet wild and untamed. Where she walked, the earth thrived, but her offspring, the Black Boar, carried a darker fate. A beast of destruction, the Black Boar rampaged across the land, leaving ruin in its wake. Eventually, hunters and warriors rose against this mighty force, determined to bring the beast to its end.
From Beast to Mountain
In a final battle of ferocity and fire, the Black Boar met its doom. But the White Sow, bound to the fate of her offspring, was slain as well. As her massive form collapsed, the land itself trembled, and in that moment of death, she shape-shifted - her body transforming into the Mountain of Kesh in Sligo, where her spirit remains to this day. Even in death, she became something greater, a monument to the endless cycle of life, death, and legend.
A Brew as Bold as the Myth
Like The White Sow, this stout is smooth and full-bodied, a drink worthy of legend. And in time, we hope you’ll agree - the stuff of myth and mastery!
